Methodologies

From initial project requirement assessment and project planning, to progress tracking and oversight to final quality assurance, CSOFT follows the strict ISO 9002 standards throughout the localization process. In addition to using the highest industry standards, our localization methodologies also place great emphasis on high quality people on our team and the cutting-edge technology that we employ to deliver your L10N solution.

People
CSOFT boasts a highly experienced and dedicated team of professional translators, L10N engineers, multilingual publishers, QA professionals and project managers who take great pride in delivering quality work during each phase of a localization project. We insist on using only in-country native translators to provide the highest quality translations. Our L10N engineers and testers are specially trained to work with a variety of systems on multiple platforms as well as use the most powerful localization tools available. CSOFT's multilingual publishers have experience publishing in every language we localize into and are experienced with both online and printed documentation. And our project managers excel in project planning, organization and communication skills.

Technology
We emphasize the use of the best and latest technology to improve our service quality and efficiency. All CSOFT translations are conducted with the assistance of TM and terminology management tools to improve consistency, accuracy and efficiency. We use QA tools to complement our testing of localized materials. This allows us to systematically verify and compare the source and target files for issues that are not easily discernible by human engineers. Our project managers employ project management tools to plan, schedule, update, and track all aspects of a project to guarantee a timely project delivery.

Process
We emphasize the use of proven and repeatable localization processes to improve our service consistency, efficiency and overall quality. All of our localization projects are carried out following a well defined workflow with each task clearly identified before kicking off a project. CSOFT maintains procedural documentation for all common tasks, developed by experts representing years of combined experience in localization disciplines. These procedural documentations allow our teams to consistently produce quality results while avoiding potential pitfalls such as starting on translation work without first setting up an available terminology base and jumping into online help localization before completing the software GUI localization.

Project management
Professional project management represents the backbone of CSOFT localization projects. The quality of project management can often lead to the success or failure of a localization project. Our project managers serve as the central point of communications between clients and team members while providing expert customer service, professional planning, implementation, and management of localization solutions. Employing both localization technology and structured processes, CSOFT project managers are able to manage end-to-end project executions with quality and efficiency.

CSOFT clients benefit from our systematic use of the best practices, highest standards and the most robust localization technology. With a constant emphasis on a well structured localization process, CSOFT recognizes that only experienced people, the latest technology, and exceptional customer care can result in a truly successful project. Through project postmortems and regularly conducted training seminars, we enable our project managers, L10N engineers, translators, publishers, and QA professionals to share the best practices, develop functional knowledge, measure performance, and achieve continuous improvement.
